School Lunches
All children in reception, year 1 or year 2 are automatically entitled to free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme. If your child is in year 3 or above and you think they may be eligible for free school meals, please follow this link:
Kingswood Catering provide our hot meals: https://www.kingswoodcatering.co.uk/
A sample menu is available from the school office. Kingswood send information packs out to all new starters with details of how to register and instructions on how to order meals.
Children will need a packed lunch if not enjoying hot meals. These should be brought in a clearly named lunch box, which is stored in school until lunchtime. It is school policy to assume that children will like the lunch that their parents provide for them. Soup and warm drinks are allowed, but cans and bottles are not - all children drink water with their lunches regardless of which option they take.
All children are encouraged to bring a water bottle with them to have in their classroom each day.
Sweets and snacks are not permitted in school at playtimes, but we do participate in the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, run by the local authority, which entitles all children from reception through to Year 3 to a free piece of fruit or vegetable each day.
Children in years 4-6 are encourage to bring fruit from home if they wish to have a snack at break time.
